Choose a Layout for your web site

Choose a layout from the list to the right hand side of the screen, by checking one of the boxes

Enter text for your web site

Give your web site a title, it could be your name or your company name.

Enter the text you would like to use by typing it in the space provided. Alternatively you can import an existing file by clicking on the "Import Text File". If you have created a document and have it saved on your hard drive c:\ then this is where you will need to go to find it.  Remember to save the file as a .txt file when you save the file in your favorite word processing package.

Insert images into your web site

Select an image from the list by clicking on the image you would like, by doing this you will see a preview of the image on the left hand side of the screen, alternatively you can browse your hard drive to use an existing image.

Choose a style for your web site

Select one of the listed themes for your site

Add another page to your web site

To add another page to your web site check one of the boxes provided

1. Yes, I would like to add another page

Checking this box will take you back to the beginning, where you can start to create a new page.

2. No, I’m happy with my site as it is

Checking this box will take you to the preview your site page

Preview your web site before uploading

If you want to see how your web site looks click on "Preview" your web pages will now be previewed in your web browser, to return to ScrapBook close your browser window by clicking on the X in the top right hand corner.

Configure your upload settings

You can enter your FTP connection details here

You will get these details from your ISP when you signed up with them.  Details required are:

1. Your site's FTP address

2. Your user name

3. Your Password

4. The address of the web site

Your web site address is given to you by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) when you sign up, e.g. FredBloggs.isp.co.uk.  For Impstance, WebPrecinct’s web site address is http://www.webprecinct.com if you haven’t yet set up your web site address then you will need to do so first, you can do this by calling the "Technical Support Department" of your ISP or more easily you can do this on-line at your ISP’s  web site

Uploading your web site

To upload your web site click on "Upload"
